 FAQs

  • Chronic pain is pain that lasts longer than three months. It may be constant or come and go. It can affect any part of the body—muscles, joints, nerves, even internal systems. Unlike acute pain, which is tied to a specific injury or illness, chronic pain often persists without a clear physical cause.

It’s not “just in your head.” It’s a complex experience involving the brain, nervous system, emotions, and environment.

  • Whether you are are brand new to therapy or an experienced client, it’s helpful to know what to expect when starting therapy with a new practitioner.

I am happy to speak more about these if you have questions.

Here’s what lights me up clinically and where I have special training and expertise:

    • Chronic Pain

    • Ecotherapy

    • Gestalt

    • Journaling & Therapeutic Writing

    • Mindfulness

    • Nutritional Psychology

    • Somatic (Body Based) Approaches

  • Presently, I am happy to offer a sliding scale to accommodate the financial needs of my clients in California.

In California, I work 100% virtually and accept many insurances through both the Grow Therapy and Headway platforms where I provide mental health services to women in need.

Please reach out to discuss your unique situation and determine if my services are a good fit for your needs.

  • I nerd out on a lot of things! But I specialize in helping women with the following issues which are near and dear to my heart:

    • Anxiety

    • Chronic Pain & Health Challenges

    • Confidence and Self Esteem

    • Stress Management

  • Please reach out to discuss your unique situation. Your well-being and motivation for change is my number one priority and largely what I use to determine fee.

If my low fee sliding scale spaces are filled I am happy to place you on my waitlist and inform you when a low fee space becomes available, if clinically appropriate. Otherwise, I will offer low fee referrals to get you connected with services ASAP.

My private fee is presently $150 and is subject to change.

Please reach out directly if you have specific questions about your financial/insurance situation that cannot be answered here.

  • Presently I see all of my clients virtually and I am licensed to practice in the states of California and New Mexico.

  • To get the most out of therapy and to establish rapport frequency matters, as does your current state when you reach out for support.

All sessions are 53-60 minutes in length.

I recommend all new clients to attend therapy weekly at least for a month. This ensures you are in a stable place and that we have a good connection before discussing if it is appropriate to reduce the frequency of sessions.

Session frequency is case by case and unique to you. If you are using insurance, please know that most insurance companies will cover weekly therapy with occasional extra sessions due to need.

We can discuss your needs more during our first intake session, which gives me an opportunity to assess and guide you with what I think would be most appropriate.

  • Presently I offer virtual therapy services in the state of California.
