Autumn Ritual for Release

When a pattern is finally coming to an end, especially one that’s been held in your body for a long time, that’s also when you’ll face the most fear and resistance, because being set free is actually incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe compared to what you’ve always known.

Lovely, you were born to feel free.

Autumn is a time for reflection, harvest, and release all the things that no longer serve the natural world.

How can you apply this wisdom of the natural world to your own life?

Autumn is a time of trusting in the very cycle of life itself, knowing that whatever is ready to fall away in your life was merely keeping you small, hitching you to someone you no longer wish to become.

This release is good and okay.

It is necessary for your growth.

Nothing blooms year round.

The Earth is your willing guide in this journey of homecoming and evolution.

Here is an activity to help you create some stillness for yourself, a moment to tune into your inner landscape and pause, noticing what you are ready to have help in surrendering or transforming in your life.

Some Ideas for Release

🍁 Limiting beliefs and thoughts

🍁 Attachment to outcomes

🍁 Relationship with self and others

🍁 Pain / energy your body is storing

🍁 Attachment or rigidity

Leaves on a Stream Mindfulness Activity

In your mind’s eye, envision you are sitting next to a cool autumn stream, leaves falling around you. This is a place of peace; a place that wholly wants to support your well-being, growth, and health.

Was you sit here and notice inner judgements, limiting thoughts, rigidity, pain, etc. simply imagine placing each one that you feel ready to release onto a leaf and allow the stream to carry these burdens away, one at a time.

As you watch each leaf flutter back to the earth and flow away from you down this stream, know that the land is grateful for this exchange and is eager to compost each worry or limitation into something new, helping new step into a new version of yourself—a little freer, a little wiser, a little more of your authentic light shining through.
